This is not science, but I’m pretty sure that approximately 99.856% of the woman currently in their twenties went through a Britney Spears phase at some point in their life. I know I certainly did, though I must admit, I was a little late to the game.
Growing up, I had what I would call pretty strict parents (hi, Mom lol). They might not have referred to themselves in that way, but I totally felt it when comparing myself to my friends and what they were and weren’t allowed to do. For a dramatic, swift reveal I’ll explain it like this:
- We weren’t allowed to watch PG-13 movies until we were 18.
- We weren’t allowed to watch “Sponge Bob.”
- We weren’t allowed to listen to non-Christian music.
There were plentyyyy more where that came from, but for the purpose of this post, we’ll focus on the last bullet point: only Christian music. Listen, I love Hillsong United as much as anyone, but at that time the lack of N’SNYC, Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears in my life was downright devastating for me.
Sure, I had a car radio and a case full of “secret CD’s” (hi again, Mom lol), but by the time I was old enough to enjoy my car radio the days of boy bands and “Toxic” were long passed. I was supposed to be too cool for it at that point, so I kind of skipped over that specific pop music.

Luckily, for my character and general pop culture knowledge, I once again returned to the musical styling of Britney Spears in my early college years. At that time these “vintage” hits were back in full swing and it came out that no one had really ever stopped listening. I was a “nerd”/school girl one Halloween and had memorized all of her hits from back in the day and have rarely gone a girls’ night or roadtrip without one of her tunes since.
I have to say this new fantasy IN BLOOM fragrance that she came out with is making me feel like I might just be back on the Britney train. It’s the perfect light, floral and sweet scent for spring. It’s unabashedly feminine and sexy and perfect for day AND night. Also, the packaging is adorable, so it sits perfectly on your vanity or dresser.
I highly recommend checking out Britney Spears’ new fantasy IN BLOOM fragrance at Kohl’s, because it might just make you say “Baby One More Time” or “Gimme More…” lol I couldn’t resist.
