A lob and designer sunnies are all you need

A lob and designer sunnies are all you need | Kayla's FIve Things

This post about a lob and designer sunnies is sponsored in part by Luxomo. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oops. I did it again. I chopped off more hair. I really don’t think I’ll ever go back to long hair, ya’ll. Not when short hair takes me SO much less time and better frames my big ol’ head. I miss massive top knots and braided ‘dos, but really I never did them that frequently anyway…

This chop + color was less dramatic than it has been in the past. I  just needed it to be back to the length it was previously and to add in a little more auburn. My girl, Juliet Shine (I worked with her on this other post about braids awhile back) did a fantastic job on my hair! At least I think so, but you people tell me if you agree or disagree in the comments. I love when people have unnatural (but classy), extremely dramatic hair, but my style is more natural. I always leave my roots their actual color, so I don’t have to constantly be paying for touch ups. I always add the color a little lower down and end up loving it the most after it’s grown out for 2-3 months. Juliet added more warm tones to my hair this time around, and I think they make it look even more natural.

If you’re located in NYC and are still searching for a hairstylist (I feel ya- it took me forever to find mine), check out Juliet’s Instagram and see if it feels like the right fit. She’s insane at balayage and so much fun to chat with! She also is offering my dear readers a discount, so scroll down to find out how to get that.

While you’re checking out my hair, you may also notice that something else stands out… that’s because I’m rocking fab new sunnies. These cat-eye beauties are Bottega Veneta, which is usually obscenely out of my price range. What I didn’t know is that there is a website, Luxomo, that has designer glasses at affordable prices. They don’t want you to have to sacrifice your lifestyle (aka your Taco Tuesday’s, Wing Wednesdays, happy hours) for fashion. My sunnies retail price was originally $300 and they’re sold on Luxomo for only $134. I’m not good at math, but I KNOW THAT’S AMAZING.

Are you signed up for the newsletter? There are TWO new free printables headed to the printable bank today!

I’m obviously super pumped about them and love that they come with a case and a wipe so I can keep them looking clean and fancy for as long as possible.

P.S. If you’re looking to get your man a gift, and win major brownie points you can buy him a present from Luxomo as well.

  1. Thanks for sharing this delightful sunnies. I am also searching for some unique sunglasses and while discussing with one of my friends, he suggested me about http://elsunglasses.com for some awesome sunglasses collection and will definitely suggest this blog to my friends.
