Does anyone else feel like Valentine’s Day just sprang up on them all of the sudden?! I seriously have no clue how the heck it’s next week. Hubby and I don’t really do gifts anymore. We used to buy things, then decided to only make gifts for V-day and now opt for a little love note and a date night instead.
That being said, I’ve been eyeing some goodies this year and am not sure I can wait for my birthday soooooo maybe we can go back to showing our love via STUFF this year… 😉
I think the key to a good Valentine’s Day gift is the thought and attention put into it (i.e. he’s been talking about wanting a new watch, so I want to spoil him with one) andddd the note attached. I know Valentine’s Day is a made-up holiday and really not all that important, but getting a chance to love on your SO is never a bad thing.
Also, I just want to say that, when you’re in love, you can also ask for what you want. That’s like one of the perks of making it past that awkward, early dating stage. No shame in forwarding this post or a link to something you’ve been looking for.

Happy like 12th Valentine’s Day together, love. Can’t wait to wine and dine ya in a few days <3 (This is only partially a test to see if he actually reads my blog. Lolol.)
